Kakamega Homeboyz put Nzoia Sugar to the sword to extend their unbeaten run to five.
Kakamega Homeboyz extended their unbeaten run in Nakuru ASK Grounds with Shami Kibwana and Stephen Opoku's goals bagging three points from a thrilling win over Nzoia Sugar in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) clash.
Nicholas Muyoti’s charges came into the clash in a decent run of form having gone unbeaten in four matches, drawing twice and winning by a similar number with their unbeaten run at the Nakuru ASK Grounds still intact after four games before kick-off.
Nzoia looking to escape the shackles of relegation had started gathering steaming, winning once and picking a point right at the depth on the clash against Western Stima last time out.

The opening half-hour of the clash was a cagey affair as both teams saw few chances come their way with the teams exercising caution to avoid conceding early that would leave the trailing team with a mountain to climb.
It took a moment of magic to break the deadlock as Shami Kibwana who has been a revelation for Homeboyz this season found the back of the end straight from a corner kick that caught Humphrey Katasi by surprise.
Abana Beingo picked up from where they left from in the second half as they had the wind in their sails but failed to capitalize on their dominant start with Nzoia Sugar withering the Homeboyz storm.
Moses Mudavadi got his name on the book a minute after the hour mark for a dangerous tackle with Gaetan Masha also receiving a yellow card three minutes later.

We lead through a beauty of a goal from Shami Kibwana. Corner kick direct.

Aiming to salvage something from the game, Ibrahim Shikanda rang the changes as he brought in Titus Kapchanga for Hillary Simiyu who proved to be ineffective in the clash after enjoying a fine season.
Homeboyz put the game to bed in the 81st minute when Stephen Opoku doubled their lead with a long-range effort that proved too hot to handle for Katasi as Nzoia’s hopes of snatching a point were extinguished.
Nzoia however had other ideas as they nicked in another goal in stoppage time for the second consecutive game when Gabriel Wandera held his nerve to slot in a penalty but it proved too little too late as Homeboyz secured maximum points.
