Xavi was a bit poignant a few days ago with some nasty words towards Real Madrid. So Ancelotti stepped up today for a riposte
There's almost nothing so tasty like a good old rivalry with two giants confronted both on and off the pitch.
So when a ball or player doesn't move, there are still many poisonous arrows that fly from side to side and cause quite a mayhem.
That's the case with Real Madrid and Barcelona, the two Spanish greats who have been fighting for decades to claim who's the best in the country.
A few days ago, as you've probably read on Mozzart Sport Kenya, Barca's coach Xavi Hernandez went publicly to say that the Blaugrana ought to win games by playing well. Not just to grab three points. And then he purposedly mentioned their archrivals, saying something like 'I don't know about Madrid, this is what we are, I don't care about them'. Well... that comparison was addressed to the Royals, and they retaliated quickly, just to show Xavi they won't allow this kind of behaviour towards them.
"We are fighting to win titles. I don't care if people say we don't play well," Carlo Ancelotti said, and added:
"Barca the most difficult job as stated by Xavi? Coaching any team is difficult. Some are asked for titles, others to play well, and others fight to avoid relegation. They are all difficult. I coach because I like it. Otherwise, I would have another job, " concluded Carletto.
Some nasty games are going on between the Spanish colossus, indeed.
