Hey, Bayern, why do you hate Palace so much?

On July 7, 2024, Bayern Munich announced they signed Crystal Palace's 22-year-old gem Michael Olise for €60 million. Not too expensive for a wealthy club like the German giants, but for the Eagles, it was a historic transfer, given that the Frenchman became the club's biggest-ever sale.

Still, that could change very soon, as the English Mirror reports the Bavarians are keen on bringing another Palace's superstar, Eberechi Eze, reuniting thus the Premier League side's former duo! Since their move for Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz fell through, they feel the Englishman could be a perfect alternative. However, if they want the 26-year-old, the Germans will have to break the bank, as his release clause is £60 million (around €71 million).

Bayern's management seems to have hit the bullseye with Olise's transfer, as he significantly contributed to the Bavarians' Bundesliga triumph, noting 12 goals and 18 assists in 34 appearances (17 goals and 21 assists in all competitions).

This season, Eze has played the leading role in Crystal Palace's fantastic campaign, crowned with the recently won FA Cup trophy - the club's maiden in 119 years - which the forward directly brought them, scoring a winner against Man City. In total, he has 14 goals and 11 assists by his name this season, with one EPL game left to play.

You don't negotiate with Bayern - either their way or highway

In their final season together at Selhurst Park, Olise and Eze formed an exceptional duo, combining for 21 goals and 12 assists. They excellently understood each other on the pitch, and it's believed at Allianz Arena that they could make a lethal trio with another former Premier League player, Harry Kane.
