Heroic Spurs fight courageously to clinch a late draw at Etihad!

Reading Time: 3min | Sun. 03.12.23. | 21:31

Ange Postecoglou's side seemed to be heading to a fourth Premier League loss in a row, but Kulusevski's stoppage-time goal saved the day for them (3-3)

Tottenham have made a heroic comeback to clinch a massive draw at Etihad on Sunday night thanks to a thrilling 3-3 draw against Manchester City!

Ange Postecoglou's injury-torn side managed to get in front against the run of play shortly after the kick-off, then fell behind, but refused to surrender to a stronger opponent and, finally, was rewarded with a late equalizer.

On the other end, City have failed to get back on the winning ways following two pulsating draws against Liverpool and Chelsea, which took them back to second place behind Arsenal.

We witnessed a furious opening as Son managed to put the visitors in front after only six minutes. It was a jaw-dropping counter straight from City's corner on the other end. Jeremy Doku rushed back to stop the South Korean menace, but the latter was simply unstoppable. He nodded the ball past Doku, burst into the box and slotted it past Ederson.

He has scored away Premier League goals against Leicester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and now Manchester City when they won the league in the previous campaign. No player had ever scored on the road against four reigning champions.

However, it didn't last for long for Tottenham. Son got them the lead, Son took it away.

Haaland flicked on a cross, which Son deflected past his own keeper for 1-1 only nine minutes into the game.

It could have been 2-1 almost instantly, as Haaland was left unmarked in the opposite area, near the penalty spot. Shockingly enough, he fired it wide.

There was no salvation, however, for Spurs a few minutes later. It was a sensational, slick passing move, which pushed City in front deservedly.

Haaland found Doku in the area, as the Belgium winger picked out Julian Alvarez, who knocked the ball back to Phil Foden, and the England international placed it smoothly into the bottom corner.

It could easily be four or five by the interval if Haaland took the chances you'd expect him to. Doku was so close, too, as his magnificent effort ended on a crossbar.

It was all in the dynamic first half, with the hosts settling with a 2-1 lead after the break. But Ange and his boys had some other plans...

City lost the ball, and Son opted for Giovani Lo Celso. The Argentine cut onto his left foot and curled the ball in via the inside of the base of the post from 20 yards for a shocking equalizer, 2-2.

It seemed so unlikely that this game would be level going into the final ten minutes. Alas, it didn't last for long for the Spurs...

Bissouma was under pressure and lost the ball near the area. Rodri took it to Haaland, and the latter played it into the box. He cut back and Grealish smashed the ball in.

At that moment, the tie seemed to be wrapped up, but Dejan Kulusevski jumped sky-high at the start of the stoppage time, above Ake, to smash it beyond the woodwork for a fantastic equalizer.
