Although it was thought that the Egyptian had ended his Liverpool chapter after the injury, it turns out we will still see him at Anfield a few more times
Mohamed Salah is expected to return to action for Liverpool before the end of the season, after the club confirmed he has sustained only a “minor” muscle injury.
The 33-year-old picked up the problem during Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace, going down while holding his leg and eventually being taken off shortly before the hour mark. As he left the pitch at Anfield, Salah acknowledged the supporters, visibly emotional as he waved and applauded the crowd.

The Egypt international recently revealed he had agreed to end his nine-year spell at the club, with the final-day fixture against Brentford FC at Anfield shaping up as a possible farewell appearance. However, despite the injury setback, Liverpool have indicated he is likely to feature again before the campaign concludes.
In an official update, the club stated: "Liverpool FC can confirm Mohamed Salah is expected to be available to play again before the end of this season. The No 11 was substituted during the second half of last Saturday's Premier League win over Crystal Palace at Anfield. The issue that caused his withdrawal has now been confirmed as a minor muscle injury. It is, however, anticipated Salah will return to action ahead of 2025-26's conclusion and his departure from the Reds this summer."

The positive prognosis also comes as a relief for Egypt national football team ahead of their upcoming World Cup campaign. Salah had previously suffered a fitness scare before Egypt’s 2018 qualification, though he still featured in the tournament despite not being fully fit.
