Bandari winger marked his first Afcon qualifier start with a goal
After netting the sole Harambee Stars goal in their 1-1 draw against Egypt, on-form Abdallah Hassan has pledged to deliver again in the final qualifier match against Togo on Monday.
The Bandari winger poked in the equalizer in the second half to save Stars from the embarrassment of losing their second consecutive qualifier match.

Hassan who was on the score sheet in the buildup match against Tanzania played last week says his impressive goal returns at the national team have been inspired by hard work and has promised to enrich the record against Togo.
Stars travel to face Togo in the final group G qualifier match in Lome on Monday where the two teams will be seeking their first wins in the pool.
“For the sake of Kenyans, we have to wrap the campaign with a win. It is a match if drafted in the starting team, I intend to score again. I played my first qualifier against Comoros although as an impact player and through hard work I managed to walk into the starting team and found the back of the net,” he promised.
Kenya certainly were the better side in the match before Johnstone Omurwa saw red for an off-the-ball incident. Hassan says the performance was as a result of coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee’s pep talk before kickoff.
Abdallah Hassan!! Ashafanya mambo yake hapa! Tukiwaambia huyu jamaa ni hatari kuliko Mtwapa usiku mnabisha!

The former Posta Rangers player also revealed that Ghost instilled confidence in the camp before the teams took to the pitch and encouraged the players to play their hearts out.
“The coach’s approach on the match was spot on. He told us to give the Egyptians limited space and have the right attitude and courage. The players responded well hence the good performance,” he added.
