The tournament brought much attention and put the spotlight on Kenyan players, and Juma, who played three of Kenya's five matches, was not an exception.
The former Kariobangi Sharks man, who had signed a short-term contract with National Super League (NSL) side Migori Youth FC to make him eligible for CHAN, was revealed as a Nejmeh DC player through their official Instagram account.

“The African destroyer docking at the Manara Castle…Welcome Masoud Juma, the goal scorer.
Kenya's first striker, a shining name in the skies of African and Arab football. As a key player with his country's national team, he has scored numerous goals in the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. He has made a fine-class striker,” reads part of the post by Nejmeh.
The club went ahead to list Juma’s experience in the Arab leagues that endeared him to the Beirut-based club, including stints in Morocco, Saudi, United Arab Emirates, Algeria and Iran.
The 29-year-old will now link up with Harambee Stars teammate Anthony 'Teddy' Akumu, who joined the club late last month.
“Today, Masoud chooses Al-Nejma club to be his new station, and to write with Manara fans chapters of challenge, and starry.
Masoud Juma the destroyer…The deal of the wine season, and a new icon in Lebanese stadiums,” stated Nejmeh.
Juma will be in a growing list of Kenyans to play in Lebanon, following in the footsteps of former Gor Mahia star striker Benson Omalla, who had a short and unproductive spell at Al Safa last year.
Just like Omalla in the 2023/24 season, Juma also won the FKF Premier League golden boot in 2017.
Juma becomes the fourth Kenyan player to secure a move after an impressive maiden CHAN campaign that saw Harambee Stars reach the quarter finals.
The other three players are Ryan Ogam, who is joining Austrian top-tier side Wolfsberger AC, Alphonce Omija, who signed for Tunisian giants Etoile Sportive du Sahel (ESS), and Faruk Shikhalo, who joined Ethiopian Coffee.
