Harambee Stars will kick start their quest to lift their maiden African Nations Championship (CHAN) with a tricky fixture against DR Congo after CAF released the fixtures on Friday, 27 June.

In a draw conducted in Nairobi back in mid-January, Harambee Stars were drawn alongside DR Congo, Angola, Morocco, and Zambia in Group A.

According to FKF, Kenya’s group stage matches will exclusively be played at the Kasarani Stadium, allowing the home team to enjoy consistency and home ground advantage in familiar surroundings
The tournament, which will take place from Saturday, 2 to Saturday, 30 August, will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, the three nations that will also host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The first match and the opening ceremony of the tournament will be at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with the hosts welcoming Burkina Faso.
Kenya will begin their CHAN campaign on Sunday, 3 August, with a clash against DR Congo from 1500 hrs.
Harambee Stars will thereafter face Angola on Thursday, 7 August. The Angola clash will be the first time in over a decade that Kenya will play under the floodlights on home soil, with kick-off set at 1900.
The Benni McCarthy-coached side will then face Morocco on Sunday, 10 August in a highly anticipated clash from 1500 hrs before finishing their group campaign with a match against Zambia on Sunday, 17 August.
Should Kenya qualify as Group A leaders, they will face the runners-up in Group B in a quarter-final clash set to be hosted at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Apart from Kenya's Group A matches and the first quarter-final clash, Kasarani will also host the tournament’s final and the closing ceremony.
Other Group A matches will be hosted at the Nyayo National Stadium, with the first one being Morocco versus Angola on the same day Kenya takes on DRC from 1800 hrs.
On Thursday, 7 August, DRC will take on Zambia, with Chipolopolo facing Angola three days later. On Thursday, 14 March, Morocco will face Zambia before DRC faces the North Africans on Sunday, 17 August, to complete Group A matches at Nyayo.
Apart from Group A matches, Kenya will also host one Group C match, the Monday 18 August clash pitting Niger against Algeria.
