After William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Eberechi Eze, and Leandro Trossard, who missed the international break, it is, as of yesterday, over for Madueke, whose knee injury does not look good
It's that time of the year when Arsenal and injuries are best friends. For years, the Gunners have had a period when their list of sidelined players reaches almost a dozen.
This season, their squad is significantly deeper, so the occasional injuries haven't affected Mikel Arteta's team much, though the aforementioned rough patch seems to be knocking on the door of the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Merino has been absent since the end of January, while Eberechi Eze, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Magalhaes, and William Saliba all missed their national team gatherings due to injuries they had recently picked up.
However, it wouldn't have been an ordinary international break for Arsenal if it hadn't taken its toll, sidelining at least one of their players. This time, it's Noni Madueke.
The forward started for England in a friendly match against Uruguay last night, but clocked only 38 minutes before being forced to leave the pitch due to a knee injury.

After the game, he was seen leaving Wembley Stadium with a knee brace, suggesting Madueke may be in for a lengthy absence.
In the final and most crucial stage of the season, every player counts and is of immense importance for Arteta, so the ex-Chelsea man's setback will be a major blow for the Gunners.
Still, a slightly comforting silver lining is that Martin Odegaard and Jurrien Timber are preparing to leave "Arsenal's hospital" and will soon be at the Spanish strategist's disposal.
