Former Ligue 1 star Jerome Rothen blasted Olympique Lyon's owner and coach
The crisis at OL is still making a lot of noise in France. The Rhone club finds itself bottom of the Ligue 1 table. But the situation does not yet seem to worry their American owner, John Textor, who remains confident of staying in the league. Former PSG and Monaco winger Jerome Rothen blasted the American's arrogance.
"Textor's arrogance is truly absurd. Everything is being done today to make Lyon keep sinking. They are already bottom of the rankings but are still getting worse because I don't see how the club can bounce back in this situation."

Appointed after Laurent Blanc's dismissal, head coach Fabio Grosso has achieved only a draw and three defeats in his first matches in charge of the Gones. But according to Rothen, the Italian's methods are not working, and the dressing room is already against him.
"You're putting yourself in difficulty because you appointed a coach who supposedly knew Olympique Lyonnais. I tried to get information from people in the dressing room, and I got it. I won't mention names, of course, as it could put them in difficulty, but Grosso is already feeling the heat."
Nicolas Tagliafico, the left-back for Olympique Lyonnais, has denied being punished by Grosso, for the match against Clermont (1-2). In a brief clarification, the 31-year-old defender posted a message on his account to deny the reports suggesting Grosso sanctioned him for the game against Clermont. Initially announced as part of the 25-man squad, he was missing from the final 20 names on the matchday sheet.
According to RMC Sport, the 2022 World Cup champion had been given a day off on Friday upon his return from the Argentine national team. In the evening, he attended the Rugby World Cup semi-final at Stade de France between New Zealand and Argentina, which Grosso reportedly did not appreciate.

In his message, the player confirms this version but disputes being officially punished without specifying the reasons for his absence.
"I returned from Argentina feeling physically well and ready to play. We discussed it with the coach, but he decided not to play me, and I accepted. He also mentioned that he didn't like me attending the rugby match on Friday during the free afternoon. I respect his decision, and the most important thing is to stay united and strong. After so many years as a professional, many people know about my commitment to all my teams. I will continue to give my all every day, as always!"
