Brazilian scores again to help K'Ogalo overcome a spirited Bidco United in Monday afternoon duel.
Gor Mahia have bounced back to their winning ways after frying Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) debutants Bidco United 3-1 at the Kasarani Annex.
The Kenyan champions had lost their last outings to Posta Rangers and KCB sparking outrage from their fans after reports emerged that investigations were underway to unearth a match fixing syndicate within the club.
With Gor missing the duo of Tito Okello and Jules Ulimwengu who are away on International duties with the South Sudan and Burundi national teams respectively, coach Carlos Vaz Pinto was forced to rely on Wilson Silva for goals.
The Brazilian striker however failed to master a shot on target in the final which Bidco dominated in the opening minutes but slumped back to defending after taking an early lead.
Gor found themselves trailing hardly eleven minutes into the game after a unmarked Peter Nzuki rose high to head home Peter Anyona's corner given after Gad Mathews tipped Wilson Silva's header which would have otherwise sailed into his own net.
Silva who was man marked atoned for his below par performance with a foul in the 35th minute which Cliftone Miheso expertly converted to draw Gor level.
The goal breathed life back to the champions who took control of the half and would have broke for the breather had Miheso scored a 40th minute free-kick which a fully stretching Adisa Zamu gathered.
Gor had a penalty shout turned down in the dying of the half when a Bidco defender handled Geoffrey Ochieng's cross but Peter Waweru turned a blind eye on the incident.
Pinto made his first change before restart, bringing in assistant captain Philemon Otieno for Kelly Wesonga.
Gor picked from where they left in the first half pressing Bidco into their own half and were unlucky to not to double the.scores in the 51st minute from a one two play which Abdul Karim failed to tap in.
The play was briefly adjourned in the 57th minute after Mathews fell awkwardly on his back but was cleared to continue after receiving medical attention.
Bidco made their first change in the following minute with Batts Awita coming in for Collins Okumu.
No sooner had Bidco threw in the fresh legs than Gor doubled their lead through Silva who headed Miheso's cross to make amends to his first half dismal show.
Gor were forced to a unwanted substitution in the 69th minute after Haron Shakava was stretchered off with a suspected hamstring with his place taken by Charles Momanyi.
Surprisingly, Geoffrey Ochieng assumed the armband for the remaining minutes ahead of Otieno was confirmed as Shakava's assistant.
Muguna consoled himself after being stripped of the captaincy with the the third goal in the 84th minute finishing from close range after Karim teed him up.
