K’Ogalo are using the tournament as preparations for the upcoming campaign, which will see them return to the CAF Champions League, where they aim to make it to the group stages
Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) giants Gor Mahia have learned their opponents ahead of the Coal City Invitational Tournament set for Nigeria.
The record Kenyan champions, under the stewardship of Brazilian Leonardo Martins Neiva, will kick off the tournament with a match against Brazilian heavyweight Corinthians on Friday 2 August in Enugu, Nigeria.
The match presents a perfect chance for the new coach to test his preferred Samba style of play against natives of the philosophy.
Organized by the Enugu State government, the tournament will run from Thursday 1 to Sunday 11 August, featuring prominent clubs from Nigeria and other international teams.
After the Corinthians clash, K’Ogalo, who are currently participating in the ongoing CECAFA Kagame Cup, will face Cotton FC on Sunday 4 August before completing the group stage games with a match against Remo Stars two days later.

Only the top four teams from the preliminary round will advance to the semifinals, planned for Thursday 8 and Friday 9 August.
The state-sponsored tournament offers substantial financial incentives, with Gor assured of approximately Ksh478,000 as an appearance fee per match, potentially earning them close to Ksh1.4 million upon completing the preliminary round games.
The grand prize is particularly enticing, with the champion slated to take home about Ksh4.7 million and the runner-up earning around Ksh954,000.
Other teams participating in the tournament include FC Kallon of Sierra Leone, Cotton FC from the Republic of Benin, and Nigeria's own Enugu Rangers and Enyimba of Aba.
