Odhiambo has informed AFC Leopards that he wants to leave the club.
AFC Leopards could lose one of their young prospects, Austin Odhiambo to arch rivals Gor Mahia who are determined to sign the midfielder this window.
Odhiambo, an attacking midfielder tried to engineer a move to Gor before the start of last season but the deal failed to materialise as Ingwe refused to let him become the latest player to cross over to their historic rivals.
Gor are back for his signature and this time they are determined to get their man. The player too is said to have informed the club if his desire to move on. A product of their youth team, Odhiambo has been with Ingwe for around seven years. He first joined the youth team then under coach Boniface Ambani where he played in the lower leagues and also the KPL U20 tournament.
He had to wait until 2018 for an opportunity with the first team when then coach Andre Casa Mbungo elevated him to the senior side where he has since established himself as a first team player. The player has now written to the club informing him of his desire to exit with Gor lurking on the wings.

"Austin has informed the team that he wants out, he has officially written a letter to the club requesting for his release. He is yet to reveal his next destination but we understand that Gor Mahia is after his signature, it is highly unlikely that the club will stand on his way considering that the team is currently struggling financially and has not paid players for a couple of months," a source from the den told Mozzart Sport.
Apart from Austin, Gor has been linked with his brother Tyson Otieno who turns out for Mathare United. Otieno was expected to join Tusker but the deal fell through. Others include, Boniface Omondi. Dennis Ng’ang’a and Bernard Ochieng all of Wazito FC and Malian keeper Adama Keita who has since joined the team.
