Gor Mahia confirm re-signing of winger who left in 2022

His previous stint at K'Ogalo saw him win three FKF Premier League titles before his departure in 2022
FKF Premier League defending champions Gor Mahia have confirmed the signing of their former player Samuel Onyango, for an undisclosed period.
Onyango, who left K’Ogalo in 2022, now rejoins the team, having featured for Kenya Police FC from January 2024 to the end of last season.
His signing from free agency was captured by the league at the end of the off-season transfer window, whose deadline was Monday 9 September.
The winger, who won three Premier League titles during his time at Gor Mahia, now joins Enock Morrison, Chris Akena, Samuel Kapen, Gedeon Bendeka, and Alphonce Omija as the new incomings for the busy 2024-2025 season.

In addition to the league and domestic cup, Gor Mahia are participating in the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds, where Egyptian giants Al Ahly stands in their way of making it into the group stages.
Onyango joined K’Ogalo in November 2017 from 2010 champions Ulinzi Stars and was the first signing for then tactician Dylan Kerr.
The 31-year-old then left the Green Army five years later, after former head coach Johnathan McKinstry had informed him that he was not part of his plans, and that the club had no intention of renewing his contract.
He then left for Zambia’s Kabwe Warriors, before making a return to the Kenyan league with Kenya Police, where he won the Mozzart Bet Cup in June.
