Last season's surprise package Denmark FC will also be in action against Kariobangi Sharks

And after an exciting Round of 32, the Mozzart Bet Cup returns this Saturday, with spots to the quarter finals up for grabs.

Three matches have been lined up in the day’s last 16 ties, with two being held at the KPA Sports Club in Mbaraki.

Headlining the ties will be an all FKF Premier League tie between Bandari and Gor Mahia, former champions of the cup, hoping to find a bright light to a rather underwhelming season.

K’Ogalo, third in the Premier League, are fighting on two fronts, and will use the cup to secure a path to continental football.

As already shown in their previous round win over Githurai All Stars, coach Sinisa Mihic is ready to use his first team players at every moment.

The clash takes place at Mbaraki, kicking off at 1530 EAT.

Ahead of that tie will be a meeting between last season’s surprise team Denmark and former champions Kariobangi Sharks.

Denmark, playing in their unusual home perch at Mbaraki rather than Ukunda, will hope to spark another upset, taking in lessons from last season.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport on Friday, the team’s technical director George Ojwaya said: "We are determined to prove that what we did last year was not by fluke. There are no longer underdogs in the world of football, as each team has an equal chance.

Last year, we had a solid strategy that worked, and we are ready to unleash a new one against Sharks. The pressure will be on them, but we will stick to our plan even as we aim to punch a ticket to the quarters.”

The game will kick off at 1300 EAT.

In the other tie on Saturday, last round’s surprise winners Nairobi United will welcome 2024 finalists KCB at Dandora Stadium.

The Naibois, against all odds last time out, bundled out Premier League side Tusker, and will be out to repeat the same exploits on the same ground.

The Bankers after a huge miss last season, are on a revenge mission, and importantly so, as their Premier League quest looks over.

Kick off is at 1500 EAT.
