Nigerian forward, 21, is about to sign a deal with the Ligue 1 side

French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon is about to sign Nigerian striker Gift Orban, currently plying trade at Belgian Pro League outfit KAA Gent L'Equipe, reports on Wednesday.

According to them, the 21-year-old forward will move to France for 13,000,000 euros. Orban will sign a four-year deal until 2028, teaming up with Malick Fofana, who recently also joined OL.

The forward joined Gent from the Norwegian second-division club Stabaek in January 2023. The Nigerian netted 20 times in 22 appearances for the Belgium club in his first season there. During this campaign, he has scored 12 goals for the Buffalos. Lyon have struggled this season and are languishing in 16th position on the Ligue 1 table.
