Inadequate behavior from Leicester City midfielder, to say the least

Your team reaches the FA Cup final. Your team wins their first FA Cup trophy in the club's history. That is marvelous. Good for you! Congratulations! But to disrespect your opponent after you had beaten them - someone needs to learn Daniel Amartey some manners.

Leicester City and Ghana midfielder Amartey got filmed during dressing-room celebration after his team won their first ever FA Cup trophy. One of the gestures he made attracted a lot of bad press toward the African footballer as he showed unsportsmanlike behaviour.

Amartey threw Chelsea's FA Cup Final pennant on the ground as he celebrated his side's historic win at Wembley and it was all caught on camera. Well - 'caught' is an overstatement - he clearly looked for a camera to present his act and intended to 'diss' Chelsea on purpose.

Brendan Rogers' squad managed to beat Thomas Tuchel's Blues in the Wembley showpiece. After a long period of fanless stands, there was quite some attendance - 21,000 spectators were present at UK's most famous stadium. Youri Tielemans' beautiful long distance belter and great saves by Kasper Schmeichel made all the difference for the London Blues to leave the ground empty handed.

Even though it is the club's first ever FA Cup triumph and the first major trophy after that Premier League title in 2016 - some of the Leicester players got a little carried away while celebrating.

The players and staff collected their medals and the trophy on the pitch and then made their way to the changing rooms. As the winning team sang songs and danced, French defender Wesley Fofana did a live broadcast via Instagram.

Fofana recorded Amartey as the Ghanaian picked up the Chelsea pennant, showed it to the camera and threw it over his head and behind him onto the floor. Afterward, Fofana flipped the camera and started laughing before he stopped recording.

French defender played all 90 minutes while Amartey saw the match as an unused substitute.

It is a tradition to swap club pennants before the match to mark the events while they are kept as souvenirs to remember the occasion.

Captains usually trade pennants as a sign of respect between the two clubs and these tokens are in most cases framed or kept by the clubs involved as memorabilia.

It was disrespect at it's fullest. Ghanaian midfielder was labelled as 'classless' by Chelsea fans online and Amartey's actions could land him in trouble with Leicester City.

'Disrespectful. honestly,' while another added: 'Unnecessarily disrespectful.' one fan tweeted.

'Disrespectful act. 0 fairplay. Still couldn't believe a player which attitude represents the club did this.' another added.

Two teams meet again on the 18th as a part of the Premier League and Chelsea have a chance for retaliation. London club desperately needs those three points in their pursuit of remaining in the top four.
