Both teams can be said to be in the title race as they occupy the second and third positions in the log

AFC Leopards assistant coach Tom Juma has called for good officiating ahead of Wednesday’s league match against Tusker FC at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Juma’s sentiments emanate from the contentious officiating witnessed when the two teams met in the first leg.

An incident where a Tusker player appeared to assault the referee went unpunished after he had awarded Ingwe a penalty that was missed by Ojo Olaniyi.

Tusker went on to win the game courtesy of an Eric Mmata goal from the penalty spot.

On Wednesday, the two teams meet yet again, this time at the Nyayo National Stadium, and ahead of the game, Juma, a former Ingwe player, wants the officials to be in total control of the game to avoid a recurrence of the first leg scenes.

"It will be a tough match, but we call for fairness in officiating. Last time out, Tusker players beat up a referee, and FKF has yet to take action against them. We are ready for the game and are in the title race," he told the nation.

On his part, Tusker coach Robert Matano anticipates a tough game but adds that they have to win the game as the sole goal is to retain their league title.

"It's going to be a tight match. We'll approach the match with a winning mentality like we do with all our games. Our aim is to win all our games and defend the league title. Losing is not in our vocabulary."

The match will kick off at 3 p.m.
