Rodrigo Palacio, 41, is truly a unique figure
Switching sports is not something you see every day, especially when it comes to those well-known athletes. Legendary Michael Jordan made that short stint at baseball in between two highly successful tenures with the Chicago Bulls.
After retirement, former Chelsea and Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech changed his usual gloves for those of bigger size and has been enjoying himself for quite some time as an ice-hockey keeper.

Today, the whole world is talking about Rodrigo Palacio, 41, the former Boca Juniors and Inter forward, who concluded his contract with the Serie B side Brescia in 2022 and joined Polisportiva Garegnano, a team from the fourth division of Italian Basketball.
Palacio, also famous for his notorious rat-rail, had a glittering spell at Boca, which earned him a move to Inter Milan and secured a place in the national team. Sadly, he missed a crucial chance during the 2014 FIFA WC final against Germany.

After more than 350 games in Italy for various sides, Palacio decided to take a chance with his old hobby, but in a serious way this time. And it seems that the 41-year-old is doing great in basketball. Of course, the rat-tail is still there.
