Plenty of chances were seen in the match, but it ultimately ended in a 2–2 draw between Parma and Milan

Parma and AC Milan played out a thrilling 2–2 draw in the 11th round of Serie A.

The Rossoneri held a 2–0 lead at halftime, but Massimiliano Allegri’s side collapsed in the second half, allowing the lively Parma to claim a point after an outstanding final 45 minutes.

Everything started perfectly for Milan. In the 12th minute, the visitors took the lead. Serbian defender Strahinja Pavlovic carried the ball from his own half and found Rafa Leao, who passed it to Nkunku. The Frenchman laid it off for Alexis Saelemaekers, and the Milan winger scored with a precise low shot into the corner.

Milan doubled their lead after 25 minutes when Rafa Leao converted a penalty.

It looked like Milan were cruising to another routine victory, but the hosts had other plans. In stoppage time of the first half, Adrian Bernabe halved the deficit with a beautiful curling strike from the edge of the box into the far corner. The goal is HERE!

Buoyed by that goal, Parma came out much stronger after the break and nearly equalized when forward Mateo Pellegrino’s header struck the junction of the post and crossbar.

Just moments later, Sasa Bristagi sent in a cross from the right, and Milan’s “sleeping” defense was punished by Enrico Del Prato, who made it 2–2 in the 62nd minute. The goal is HERE!

Both sides had huge chances late on. Pulisic missed a sitter, shooting wide from an ideal position, while Saelemaekers rounded goalkeeper Suzuki but failed to score into the empty net as he fell.

Parma also came close to victory through substitute Hernani, whose free kick was brilliantly saved by Mike Maignan.

With the draw, Milan remain level on points with reigning champions Napoli at the top of the table (22 each), though the Neapolitans have a game in hand. Parma sit 17th with eight points.
