Four teams book quarterfinals berth in Victoria 15s

The last eight of the tournament will then be played at the Mamboleo Grounds in Kisumu on Saturday 29 October.

Kisumu RFC, Western Bulls, Mbale RFC and Eldoret RFC all punched a ticket to the quarter finals of the Victoria 15s following wins in the pre-quarter finals over the weekend.

The four teams will now join University of Eldoret, Kisii RFC and Kenya Cup sides Kabras and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in the quarters.

The last eight of the tournament will then be played at the Mamboleo Grounds in Kisumu on Saturday 29 October.

Mbale RFC became the first team to advance to the quarter finals of the tournament following a 31-15 win over Vihiga Granites in the curtain raiser at Kakamega Bullring.

The main clash of Kakamega Bullring saw hosts Western Bulls annihilate Bungoma RFC 44-9 limiting the Bungoma-based side to no tries in the one sided clash.

Kisumu RFC were the biggest winners of the pre-quarter finals after a 69-0 whitewash of Siaya RFC who failed to get any points on the board in the shutout victory.

In a nail biting pre-quarter finals that pitted Eldoret RFC against Kitale RFC saw the former emerge victorious by a single point after claiming a 16-15 win at the Eldoret Sports Club.
