Among the headline arrivals is former Tusker FC midfielder Shami Kibwana, who reunites with head coach Nicholas Muyoti, having previously worked under him at Kakamega Homeboyz.

Kibwana, a seasoned campaigner and one-time FKFPL champion with Tusker, is expected to inject creativity and experience into Naibois' midfield.

He brings valuable continental exposure, having featured for the Brewers in both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup in 2022.

The club has also acquired goalkeeper Bernard Jairo from Kariobangi Sharks. The Kenya U20 international joins Naibois from the 2018 Mozzart Bet Cup winners and will compete for the number one spot alongside Ghanaian shot-stopper Ernest Mohammed and youngster Livingston Chacha Maneno, adding depth to the goalkeeping department.

Other new recruits include Chris Opondo from relegated FC Talanta, David Wafula from Murang’a Seal, and highly rated youngster Kepha Aswani, all of whom are expected to provide depth across the pitch.

A club source confirmed the deals, noting, “It is indeed true the club has signed five new players who are already down to business. Kibwana, Jairo, Wafula, Opondo, and Aswani have all signed.”

The club, bankrolled by Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja through his foundation, will be looking to make a statement in their maiden FKF Premier League campaign, which kicks off on Saturday, 20 September.

Their ambitions, however, stretch beyond domestic football. The reigning NSL champions secured a historic ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup after edging record league champions Gor Mahia 2-1 in the Mozzart Bet Cup final on Sunday, 29 June at Ulinzi Complex.

The club’s first competitive fixture of the new season will come in continental competition when they face Uganda’s National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) FC in the preliminary round first leg on Sunday, 21 September, in Kampala, Uganda.
