Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo seem to be doing much better than their successor in the Tottenham Hotspur dugout. Spurs face Leicester on Sunday afternoon (5 pm)
It's been over a month since the last Tottenham victory in the Premier League (at Southampton, 5-0), and Spurs have recorded three straight losses, falling to 15th place. Things look awful for Ange Postecoglou's side, which desperately needs to clinch a victory today against EPL strugglers Leicester City (5 pm).
At the same time, Postecoglou's preddecessors in the Spurs' dugout are doing quite fine in their respective jobs.
Antonio Conte, who led the North Londoners between 2021 and 2023, is topping the table with his Napoli in Serie A, six points clear of second-placed Internazionale, who have two games in hand.
Jose Mourinho also spent two years with the EPL side, from 2019 to 2021, without much of success. However, today, Mr. Special One is doing decent work with Fenerbahce, the current runners-up in the Turkish Super Lig, nine points adrift of league leaders Galatasaray but with a game in hand.
Finally, between those Mourinho and Conte stints, Spurs fans saw Nuno Espirito Santo in the dugout, but his spell at White Hart Lane lasted just a few months. His luck has changed for him in the meantime, as he's sitting third in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest despite yesterday's heavy loss to Bournemouth (0-5).
This basically means the former Spurs bosses are currently first, second, and third in their respective leagues, while Tottenham are only 15th under Ange Postecoglou.
