The CAF B License holder now a free agent after exiting the bank.

Former Kenyan international John Baraza has relinquished his head coach roles at Football Kenya Federation Division One side Equity FC.

Baraza who was among the scores of tacticians who graduated with a CAF B coaching course license in December last year revealed that he ditched the opulent club on personal grounds amid whispers from the club that he was not reading from the same script with his bosses.

Baraza joined the bankers in mid-March last year hardly three months after being shown the door by the 2009 Kenyan champions Sofapaka and missed promotion to the National Super League by a whisker.

He might have missed on promotion to the second tier, but his experience came in handy as he inspired the bankers to a fourth-place finish in the Cup, losing to Bidco United in the playoff.

“I have resigned as Equity FC head coach with immediate effect. I enjoyed every bit of the more than a year I was with them and I wish them the very best of luck in the season. I didn’t bang the door on my way out and should the management seek my services in future, I’ll gladly assist or return,” he disclosed.

The four-time top flight ‘Golden Boot’ winner in the meantime says he is open to offers from the local leagues and abroad. Baraza who after leaving Sofapaka was rumoured to be headed for further studies abroad said he was banking on the experience of handling Batoto Ba Mungu and Equity to get himself back to the touchline.

“One thing I am certain of is, I will get a new home soon either here at home or abroad,” he added.
