Another intriguing transfer is on the horizon, along with an interesting partnership between two football stars
Former Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is reportedly on the brink of a move to Mexican powerhouse Monterrey, after receiving permission from his current club to travel for a medical.
Martial’s contract with Man United expired at the end of the 2023-24 season, and he subsequently joined Greek side AEK Athens on a free transfer that summer. However, his time in Greece has been limited to just 24 appearances across all competitions, and he has now been omitted from six consecutive matchday squads, fueling speculation over his departure.
🚨 AEK Athens have reached an agreement with Monterrey over the sale of Anthony Martial.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Martial and Monterrey have agreed on terms, with the move set to be finalized following a successful medical.
The French striker’s switch to Monterrey comes after Mexican rivals Pumas attempted to secure his signature but were unable to meet Martial’s wage demands.
Martial, who arrived at Old Trafford in 2015 for an initial 36 million pounds fee, potentially rising to 58 million pounds, reportedly signed the largest contract in AEK Athens’ history last year. His move to Monterrey also follows in the footsteps of Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos, who joined the club seven months ago.
At Monterrey, Martial will link up with the 39-year-old World Cup winner, who has guided the team to the top of the Liga MX table after seven games, boasting six victories and a single loss so far.
