Ochan takes over from Charles Lukwago as captain.

Former AFC Leopards goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan has been named new KCCA FC captain barely a month after he joined the club.

Ochan opted to ditch Ingwe due to financial challenges the team is facing and returned to his home country to link up with KCCA for the third time in his career.

The experience that he has gathered over the years has seen him handed a leadership position at KCCA. He takes over from Charles Lukwago who left the club for Ethiopian giants St. George FC in September.

Ochan will be deputized by Gift Ali, Dennis Iguma, and Julius Poloto as first, second, and third assistant captains respectively.

KCCA coach Morley Byekwaso, says he settled on the former AFC Leopards assistant captain due to his experience and leadership skills.

"I have chosen Ochan Benjamin as Captain because of his experience as a person and one who knows this football club in and out. He has got all the qualities to make a good captain and he is the right player to lead these players. Ochan will be deputized by Gift Ali Abubakar, Denis Iguma, and Julius Poloto. All these three are leaders and can be able to stand in as Captain on any day, “he told the club website.

Ochan played for Leopards for two years before exiting.
