Kitambi left Leopards in May 2018
Former AFC Leopards assistant coach Dennis Kitambi is among the twenty-one coaches who have been conferred with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) A coaching license according to the Tanzanian Football Federation.
TFF, in a statement said the tacticians had successfully completed the coaching course and awarded with the prestigious badge and will as a result join their counterparts who have an equivalent of the certificate.
Kitambi, alongside veteran English tactician Stewart Hall joined Leopards in October 2016 with the former serving as an assistant to the latter.
The soft-spoken tactician who was elevated to the rank of interim coach at the den in March 2018 following the exit of Robert Matano who had succeeded Hall would ditch the club three months later for a move to Bangladesh.

Kitambi who has tutored Ndanda FC and served as an assistant coach at Azam was named as one of the deputies at Simba in February 2019 after apparently rejecting a return to Leopards.
Ingwe were set to reunite with the gaffer following the unceremonious resignation of Marko Vasiljevic who threw in the towel shortly after the club fell 4-1 to Bandari.
It is after missing on Kitambi’s signature that the former Kenyan champions acquired Rwandese coach Andre Casa Mbungo.
Other tacticians who are set to lay hands on the license include former Kagera boss Mecky Mexime who was succeeded by former Kenyan international Francis Baraza at the club in march last year.
Juma Mgunda, who is expected to man the Simba touchline when the former champions take on Malawian champions Nyasa Big Bullets in a CAF Champions League preliminary round game is also in the list.
Simba had to turn to lease the services of the Coastal Union gaffer after sacking Zoran Manoljovic three days ago. The exit of the Serbian coach meant that the club had to look for a replacement who possesses the A license, a mandatory qualification for a tactician to man the touchline in the CAF inter-club competitions.
