Kenyans abroad registered mix bag results on Wednesday night.

Gor Mahia old boys Joash Onyango and Erick 'Marcelo' Ouma helped keep their team's sheets clean following identical 2-0 wins for Simba and AIK respectively as Justin Dhillon featured for San Antonio FC.

Joash Onyango

The former Gor Mahia defender helped Simba SC keep another clean sheet following their 2-0 win over Kagera Sugar in the Tanzanian Premier League.

It did not take long for Simba to get started as they needed just 13 minutes to break the deadlock through Denis Kibu after Larry Bwalya put the ball on a plate for him with a lovely cut back.

Wekundu wa Msimbazi completed the job at the half-hour mark when skipper John Bocco buried the ball into the far post after Larry Bwalya threaded in another neat through ball.

Erick ‘Marcelo’ Ouma

Another one of former Gor Mahia defenders helped their side keep another clean sheet as Erick Ouma featured in AIK’s 2-0 win over Malmo FF.

This was the perfect revenge as AIK got one better of reigning champions Malmo who lifted the league over the former by virtue of a superior goal difference last season.

Malmo had a nightmare start to the game as Dennis Hadzikadunic turned the ball into his own net in the 17th minute after a powerful shot from Joe Mendes.

Former Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson assured all three points for AIK with three minutes left on the clock as he successful converted his penalty.

Justin Dhillon

The Kenyan forward was trusted with another start as his San Antonio side was dumped out of the US Open Cup following a 1-0 loss at the hands of Houston Dynamo.

The all important goal for Houston was netted by Carlos Sebastian Ferreira Vidal in the 82nd minute as he helped his side book a place in the Round of 16.
