The Nigerian-born forward was unveiled on Saturday evening after joining from South Sudanese giants El Merreikh Bentiu.

The 26-year-old brings vast experience across Africa, having previously featured for Djibouti champions Arta Solar, where he played alongside former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alex Song.

Feargod began his professional career in Nigeria, turning out for Shooting Stars, First Bank, Bayelsa United, Rivers United and Lobi Stars before moving abroad.

He is also a regular for the Djibouti national team and has scored 10 goals in 20 appearances.

His arrival is expected to bolster KCB’s attack, which has struggled for consistency and cutting edge for large spells of the season.

Feargod becomes head coach Robert Matano’s third signing of the campaign, following the arrivals of former Gor Mahia midfielder Francis Kahata and Omar Chirchir.

The striker expressed confidence in the quality within the squad, insisting KCB have what it takes to compete on all fronts.

My ambition in the team is to perform well and help the team first, then at the end we shall come out victorious. We are here to win the league and the cup,” said Feargod.

He also spoke highly of the opportunity to work under Matano, noting that the move will help him grow as a player.

I will bring my skills and my talents and push myself to help the team. I believe working with the coach and my teammates will make me a better player as we push to achieve our goals,” he added.
