The closing moments of Gor Mahia's game were affected by riots from supporters

Kenya Police and Bandari FC maintained their unbeaten starts to the FKF Premier League on Wednesday despite producing contrasting performances in their rescheduled fixtures.

And in the theme of constants, Gor Mahia's troubles continued for yet another week as tensions boiled over from the stands in a heated game at the Ukunda Showground.

Gor Mahia suffer again

In now what is looking like a norm, Gor Mahia were once again on the back-end of another horror-show as they went down 2-0 to Bandari in Ukunda.

Coming in on a three-game winless run, K'Ogalo and coach Leonardo Neiva made no grounds in rebuilding the trust they have lost in their fanbase as they first went down to ten men, before capitulating in a tense second-half.

It all came down on Gor Mahia shortly after the hour-mark when experienced captain Geoffrey Ochieng received a straight red card for hacking substitute Izzadin Juma with just Caleb Omondi to beat in a quick counterattack.

And while he received pats on the back on his way off, there was absolute shock on the K'Ogalo technical bench as Geoffrey Ojunga, with the resulting freekick, arrowed a right-footed shot to the top corner and past a hapless Omondi.

Soon afterwards, mercurial Austin Odhiambo and Christopher Ochieng were protesting decisions to be the sacrificial lambs, as Neiva opted to close shop with Philemon Otieno and the element of surprise forward with Boniface Omondi.

That seemed to be an effort in vain, as Izzadin found Beja Nyamawi free in the box after 78 minutes to toy with Joshua Onyango before slotting his effort past Omondi for a second.

Play was halted for a sustained period thereafter, before action resuming late on.

The result leaves Gor Mahia eleventh on the log, as Bandari bumped into fourth place.

Police fight back against Sofapaka

Elsehwere at Dandora Stadium, David Okoth's strike minutes after the break rescued 10-man Kenya Police a point against Sofapaka.

Robert Matano's side seemed to be heading towards their third straight victory after Joseph Kuloba had taken advantage of a Patrick Matasi error to give them an early lead.

Okoth however fed off Kenneth Muguna to score the equalizer, meaning that Kenya Police remain unbeaten after four games this season.

They will however deal with the fact that they will be without left-back Abud Omar, who received a straight red for violent conduct.
