Kenyan giants Tusker FC will be away to Mara Sugar, as APS Bomet takes to the field against Sofapaka.
Ahead of today's matches, Gor Mahia are at the summit of the league table with 19 points, one more than Kakamega Homeboyz, as defending champions Kenya Police FC close the top three with 17 points.
At the other end of the table, Kariobangi Sharks are at the bottom with seven points, and are joined in the relegation zone by APS Bomet and Murang'a Seal with eight and 10 points respectively.
In the first match of the day, Mara Sugar welcomes Tusker to a league battle at the Awendo Green Stadium from 1400 hrs.
After a largely disappointing start to the season that includes two consecutive losses in their last two matches, Tusker are 10th on the log with 22 points.
The Charles Okere-coached side will therefore be eyeing a win that would increase their points tally and draw them closer with the title-chasing pack.
On the other hand, the Sugar Millers, who are 12th with 11 points, will be out to make amends for the home loss to KCB FC in their last match by ensuring they secure three points at home.
©Gad IsaacA win for Mara Sugar could take them up to fourth on the log standings, at least before the Sunday, 30 November fixtures.
Sofapaka vs APS Bomet
2009 league champions Sofapaka will lock horns with APS Bomet at Kasarani Annex from 1600 hrs.
Batoto Ba Mungu head into the match on the back of two consecutive losses against Bandari and Ulinzi Stars respectively, and will be out to ensure they pick the maximum points and get back to winning ways.
However, they will be meeting an APS Bomet side which is full of confidence after thrashing Gor Mahia 4-1 on Tuesday 25 November.
The law enforcers had their morale boosted further after unveiling a Ksh11 million sponsorship deal from leading gaming firm Mozzart Bet Kenya Limited on Thursday, 27 November.
Interestingly, APS’ two wins in the league have all been earned in Nairobi, and this match provides them an opportunity to secure a third.
A win for the league newbies will move them from their current 17th position to potentially 11th on the table, while 14th placed Sofapaka could potentially move up 10 places.
