Bidco United and Posta Rangers face off in Kasarani separated by just two points in their first ever clash in the top tier league.
Bidco United takes on Posta Rangers in their maiden clash in the top flight league at Kasarani Stadium this afternoon. Placed 15th and 12th on the log respectively, both teams are eager to break into the top ten on the log and this makes for an interesting clash.
Bidco, who are playing in their debut season in the top tier, have found the terrain a bit challenging to navigate. Under the stewardship of coach Anthony Akhulia, Bidco United find themselves just three points from safety after ten games played.
Boasting experienced forward Stephen Waruru, one would expect a good return in front of goal. It is however their poor run of form and failure to convert their chances that leave Bidco languishing in 15th position, after scoring only five goals so far in all the ten games they’ve played. An average return of 0.5 goals per game.
They however come into this game on the back of a one and a half week rest. A chance to go back to the drawing board, evaluate their season, and hopefully come up with a formula to convert their chances.
Bidco United can beat just about anyone on the day with their beautiful intricate play marshaled by leading scorer Eric Gichimu who has two goals and Zachary Gathu who’s chipped in with one.

On the other hand, Posta Rangers head into the game having lost only one game since their opening day defeat to KCB. The mailmen have recorded a league-high seven draws, one win, and one defeat in nine games.
Sammy Omollo’s Posta are a very well drilled side who sit back, absorb pressure and hit their opponents with an effective counter-attack led by the creative brilliance of Jackson Dwang’. Posta come in the game on the back of mixed results; a win, draw then a defeat in their last game.
When asked about likely preparations for the game against Bidco, head coach Sammy Omollo said,
“We’re looking to eliminate small mistakes in our play and to have a strong start to the game.”
Bidco tactician Anthony Akhulia is eager to bounce back from the two losses with a win against Posta.
“We’ve just prepared for the match as we always do, and hope to get a positive result.” He said.
The match kicks off at 1500EAT.
