At the Ruaraka Grounds, FC Talanta will entertain Murang'a Seal FC. Talanta have picked draws in their opening two games against AFC Leopards and Shabana FC, while Murang'a have a 100% record after beating Shabana FC and Kakamega Homeboyz.

Four weeks later, three FKF Premier League matches will be played on Sunday afternoon; all four games will be staged in Nairobi.

Five matches were played in different parts of the country. AFC Leopards’ winless run this season continued with yet another barren draw against Muhoroni Youth in Kasarani; Ulinzi Stars lost their third game in a row after going down 1-0 to Bandari in Mombasa; and Police picked up a point in a dramatic 1-1 draw against Shabana. Nzoia Sugar and Bidco United played out a one-all draw in Bungoma, while Homeboyz pipped Tusker 2-1 in Kakamega.

The action continues on Sunday, with the biggest of them all being the match involving champions Gor Mahia and Nairobi City Stars at the Moi Kasarani Stadium. This is a repeat of last season’s final game, where Gor came from a goal down to beat Simba Wa Nairobi 4-1 and seal the title.

Gor have amassed a total of four points in their opening two games. They played out a one-all draw with Sofapaka on the opening day before beating Ulinzi Stars in day two. City Stars, on the other hand, managed draws; they settled for a barren draw against Muhoroni Youth before playing out a one-all draw with Bidco United on d

ay two.

After faulting his team’s performance against the Ulinzi Stars last time out, Gor Mahia coach Johnathan McKinstry will be hoping for a better show against Simba Wa Nairobi.

"The match was tense (against Ulinzi), and I can say it was not the most entertaining game. We played a more direct style of football because of the nice pitch, and we played a bit of different football than usual. We know how to adapt and play, even on a pitch like Kasarani. In football, you want it to be entertaining, but the most important thing is to secure a win," the tactician said.

"We are expecting a tight match against Gor, but we are prepared for it. We have what it takes to contain Gor. We need to make the most of the chances we create in any given match. We failed to convert the glaring opportunities (against Bidco United) that came our way, and that's what cost us the match," City Stars coach Nicholas Muyoti opined.

At the Ruaraka Grounds, FC Talanta will entertain Murang'a Seal FC. Talanta have picked draws in their opening two games against AFC Leopards and Shabana FC, while Murang'a have a 100% record after beating Shabana FC and Kakamega Homeboyz.
