The winner of the cup will walk home with Ksh 2 million

Football Kenya Federation has opened the registration window for the 2023/24 Mozzart Bet Cup on Friday 15th December. The registration will remain open until 15th January 2024.

The tournament, sponsored by the leading gaming firm Mozzart Bet, is scheduled to officially kick off on January 27th, 2024, marking the commencement of the round of 64. The draw is scheduled to be held on January 17th, 2024.

The round of 32 is slated to take place from February 24th to 25th, 2024. Proceeding onward, the round of 16 has been scheduled between March 30th and 31st, 2024. Next will be the quarterfinals on April 27th and 28th, 2024.

As the competition intensifies, the remaining four teams will enter the semi-finals on May 25th and 26th, 2024. With a CAF Confederation Cup slot and a cash prize at stake, the finals have been marked for June 6, 2024.

Kakamega-based FKF Premier League side Kakamega Homeboyz are the cup-defending champions. They beat Tusker by a solitary goal in the 2023 final to lift the cup. They, in turn, earned a ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup, where they exited in the preliminary round after losing to Libya’s Al Hilal Benghazi.

The winner of the cup walks home with KES 2 million, with the runners-up getting 1 million. The third-position playoff winners get KES 750,000, with KES 500,000 going to the team that finishes fourth.

Tournament Draw: January 17th, 2024

Round of 64: 27th – 28th January 2024

Round of 32: 24th – 25th February 2024

Round of 16: 30th – 31st March 2024

Quarter-Finals: 27th – 28th April 2024

Semi-Finals: 25th – 26th May 2024

Finals: June 6th, 2024

The women’s tournament will commence in the round of 32 on March 2nd and 3rd, 2024, followed by the round of 16 scheduled for April 6th and 7th, 2024. Amidst growing anticipation, the quarterfinals will take place on May 4th–5th, 2024, signaling the approaching climax of the tournament. Ulinzi Starlets are the defending champions.
