The club has confirmed right back Fredrick Alushula and lanky centre back John Kuol have resumed full training
Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Kariobangi Sharks have been handed a fitness boost in their defensive department after the club confirmed right back Fredrick Alushula and lanky centre back John Kuol have resumed full training.
Alushula and Kuol had been sidelined from action since mid-May where the two picked up the minor setbacks. Alushula missed action after picking up an injury against Kakamega Homeboyz that forced him to hobble off in the match and consequently miss games in the league and cup.
While it was not clear why Kuol was ruled out previously, the club confirmed that it was a medial collateral ligament injury that ruled out the South Sudan international.
“Frederick Alushula and Kuol Chol are back to full training after recovering from a Hamstring strain and Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) strain respectively,” the club posted on their social media portals.

The club however failed to mention the state of league and club top scorer Eric Kapaito who continues to miss the action since his last appearance against Ulinzi Stars on 22nd May and who had been ruled alongside the trio.
Sharks, who have suffered consecutive league defeats since the trio were ruled out, will be hoping that the duo’s comeback will prove to be timely as they are set to clash against a resurgent Gor Mahia in the in the quarter finals of the Football Kenya Federation Cup on Thursday afternoon at the Utalii Ground.
In the absence of the trio, Sharks struggled in the league where they lost two out of the three league matches they played. In the cup knockout competition, the club pulled through after dispatching Tangaza in the round of 32 before edging KCB 5-4 on post-match penalties following a 1-1 draw.
Yesterday's round of 16 was determined by spot kicks.
