The midfielder has been sidelined for three weeks and h now says that he is ready for action.

Kenyan international Kenneth Muguna has announced that he is set to return to action after a couple of weeks on the sidelines.

Muguna suffered an injury setback three weeks just as he had returned to training from another layoff. He has been on the recovery path ever since missing matches against Tanzania Prisons and Sindiga Big Stars.

“Just came back from a minor injury only to suffer another one in today’s session, it’s frustrating, but that’s part of life we have to deal with in our job. I won’t be available for some time but am positive I’ll overcome it and get back to the pitch sooner,” the player announced on 20th September.

He is now back in contention after shaking off the injury and he has taken to social media to announce his return to action.

“My season starts next week, it wasn’t fun watching training sessions and league matches from the stand……Ready to rumble again,” he said.

Meanwhile, Azam will be in action on Saturday in a CAF Confederation Cup first-leg tie against Libya’s Al Akhdar Benina Martyrs, in Benghazi. The second preliminary round tie will kick off at 8 PM Kenyan time with the second leg set to be played in Tanzania a week later, Muguna will be hoping to feature in the game as they seek to secure a group stage slot.

Coach Denis Lavagne is confident ahead of the game saying they have had good preparations for the game.

"We have made good preparations for this game. Good practice today, the players are very motivated and I think they have a lot of motivation to fight for a good result tomorrow."
