The Kenyan scored over the weekend as was entrusted with his first full minutes

Kenyan midfielder Clarke Oduor played the entire length of the match for Hartlepool as they lost 2-0 to Salford City on Tuesday evening.

This was the first time that the Harambee Stars prospect was featuring the whole game since his move from Barnsley earlier in the season.

The privilege came on the back of an excellent performance over the weekend where he scored Hartlepool's lone goal even as they went down to Swindon Town 2-1.

Ryan David opened the scoring for the visitors after just 26 minutes with Ethan Stuart William finishing the job in the third minute of stoppage time to see Salford win with two goals.

So far, the 23-year-old has made eight league appearances for the England League Two side, starting in four and coming off the bench in four, tasting victory only once.

Hartlepool's poor start to the campaign sees them trail at the bottom of the league standings after 16 matches with only nine points but there is still a long way to go to the end of the season.
