The winger of Ghanian descent is looking for a loan at Southampton, which could save his career

It's been long four and a half years for Callum Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea. Patiently waiting for a proper chance under several tacticians, the prolific winger never really made the much-expected breakthrough. Now, with Raheem Sterling's arrival, Hudson-Odoi's place in the starting XI became even more unsecured, and for the 21-year-old, it's the alarm for action.

According to several media, Southampton are among the clubs interested in signing him on loan.

He told the Blues he wants to leave, and a number of Premier League clubs are vying for his signature.

Hudson-Odoi was left out of Thomas Tuchel's squad in the maiden game of the season, a 1-0 away win over Everton.

The young winger has made 126 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 16 goals.

In January 2019, Bayern Munich made multiple transfer bids for the winger and they made a number of very public statements about him.

However, he penned a new five-year contract in September 2019, ending Bayern's interest. Tuchel began playing him more regularly when he replaced Lampard, but a lot has changed since.

Leicester and Newcastle are also clubs that have been linked with a move for the winger of Ghanian descent.
