A week after he scored in the FA Cup semis, leading Crystal Palace to the grand final, the Eagles' forward won a chess tournament, pocketing £15,000

Some people can do it all, and Eberechi Eze is one of them! A week after scoring in the FA Cup semi-final and giving a "checkmate" to Aston Villa, the Crystal Palace forward won a chess tournament!

Namely, the "PogChamps 6" tournament involved 12 celebrities, and Eze won it pretty easily without dropping a single game in the bracket stage. In addition, this multi-sport athlete earned some "pocket money," receiving £15,000 for the triumph. And even though he earns £100,000 per week with the Eagles, the money he won doing something he's passionate about, like chess, is definitely "sweeter" than a salary.

The chess title has been just a crown to Eze's fantastic recent form with Palace, as he scored in three consecutive Premier League clashes, most recently against Nottingham Forest last night.

The Eagles are to play three more EPL rounds and the FA Cup final against Man City until the end of the season, and then the England international will have more time to devote to his other passion - chess.
