The Gunners defender talks to us about the three most important moments in his career, reveals who are the two best players he saw on the pitch, and he makes a call about the season showdown
The ninth position at the Premier League table doesn't seem satisfying for the club of Arsenal's reputation. However, with six games still to be played, and the first one coming tonight against Everton at Emirates (22.00), there are plenty of chances for the Gunners to make this campaign memorable.
Especially if we take into consideration that they have reached the Europa League 1/2 finals and have shined a couple of times this season in the encounters with those top slots. In an exclusive interview for Mozzart Sport Kenya their defender Calum Chambers, 26, says that both Mikel Arteta and the players are aware of the importance of following fixtures.
"To be honest, whoever we play, it's going to be complicated, so you have to find a way to win. For us, every game until the end of the season is a cup final. As simple as that. We need to win. That's the attitude that has been guiding this whole season.

"We should stay positive, and, of course, we are excited for the Europa League semifinals as well. A trophy in the UEL would be nice. We would be proud of the season if we finish it that way. In those sorts of games, we know it's up to us to win. It's not going to be easy, but we've shown character in challenging games in which we came out on top and played really well, with the style we want. In the process, we have to believe in ourselves, prepare well, and, yeah, we are aware of the importance of those matches.
"Obviously, we want to be at the top of the table. Arsenal need to be there. But it has been a process this season; we are all buying into it and showing what are we capable of. We need to stick together, the players and the fans and the club, to keep believing in it, to stay positive. I talk about giving 100 per cent until the end of the season and sticking to what our boss wants us to."
The lack of both desire and positive attitude is not familiar to the Gunners, but this season's results are not compatible with the effort they've put into it so far. What's the problem then?
"There's been quite a lot of games this season in which we played well, with the style and the way the boss wants us to do; we dominated a few games but failed to put a ball in the back of the net and finish the game off. But as I said before, that's all the part of the process, and we know that we need to improve from there.
"We want to be consistent, the ultimate goal is to win game after game, and I believe we'll get to that. Sometimes we need to have better game management, but this is the hardest league in the world. It's tough to clinch several consecutive victories.
"As the Arsenal Football Club, we want to dominate the football game. To have possession of the ball and play on the opponent's half. That's what we're aiming for and what we want to achieve. So there were times when we managed to do that, but there were also the other ones. We have to narrow down the mistakes and make them less and less and learn from the manager every day."
Аsked about the best footballers he played with or against them, Chambers has no dilemma.
"The best player I've ever played with was Santi Cazorla, a 100 per cent. He is a little magician, the way he moves the ball, left foot, right foot. He hasn't got a weaker foot. It's so easy for him to manipulate the ball, one way or the other. Technically, he was perfect.
"The best one I have ever faced is probably Luis Suarez, back in the days when I played for Southampton and he featured for Liverpool. He was in unbelievable form. Playing against him was a good experience for me. I learned a lot from that game, "Chamber stresses out.
For him, it was a sky-high career start at Southampton, where he was given a chance at the age of only 17. From that point on, Chambers has enjoyed steady growth establishing himself as one of the most reliables defenders in the game. When he looks back, there's no regret for the choices he made whatsoever.
"I'm happy with my career so far. I've got vast experience. I started at Southampton at a very young age, played international football at a young age also. These experiences helped me, and I look back at my career so far with very fond memories. There are three most significant moments so far...
"The one when I made my senior debut for the Saints in the Premier League at a young age. That was away at WBA, and we won 1-0, and I'll never forget that day;
then, the moving to Arsenal was a dream come true, an amazing thing; and the last, of course, is my debut for England at the age of 19," concludes Chambers for Mozzart Sport Kenya.
