Ex starlets captain Duah named South Sudan assistant coach
Former Harambee Starlets captain Florence ‘Duah’ Adhiambo has been named as the assistant coach of the South Sudanese women’s national team Bright Starlets. Duah, who is the longest serving Harambee Stars skipper (1994-2006), will work under Shilene Booysen who is head coach of the South Sudanese women’s team.

Coach Duah has held several coaching positions in the past, including guiding Kenya U20 women’s national team into the final round of the 2012 U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers with a 5-2 win over Zambia in the penultimate round.
Duah’s immediate job as assistant coach starts as soon as the 10th and 13th of April when the Bright Starlets take on Ethiopia in a double header international friendly matches.
Adhiambo, a Caf B holder, has previously coached the under 17 and under 20 women sides in the country. During her playing days, Duah turned out for Makolanders in the Women’s Premier League and would later coach the very same side in the league.
