Ex Shabana boss reveals he has offers

Former Shabana FC head coach Robert Ojienda says he already has a couple of offers on the table and is weighing his options before making a return to the dugout.

Ojienda is currently club-less after he parted ways with Shabana in January. The tactician stunned the Gusii-based side when he tendered his resignation after a defeat to Kisumu All-Stars in Kisumu.

“I take this chance to thank the entire family of Shabana FC for trusting me with the opportunity as the team Head coach since last season 2020/2021. For the time we've been together have learned a lot that added value to my career as a coach. l leave this great team today a very happy man going by the records that it's better than l found it though the journey was to go beyond their current level(NSL)”.

“It's with great honour that l thank the management so much for the enormous support during my tenure in office, special thanks to my players both last season and this season you guys have a special place in my heart not forgetting members of the technical bench. I wish the team well in their future assignments. May Almighty God Bless Shabana FC,” said the tactician in a statement after quitting.

In recent weeks, the former Migori Youth boss has been linked with a move to APS Bomet as a replacement for Benedict Wanjala who moved to Mombasa Elites but he insists that he has not reached an agreement with any side yet.

“I have a couple of offers on the table and I will make a decision at the right time,” he stated.

Meanwhile, former Kenyan international Sam Okoth replaced him at Shabana FC.
