The newly-promoted EFL Championship side is eager to bring in the veteran midfielder who is currently a free agent
Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds has been telling himself in the last few days that everything is possible if you believe enough in it. Along with Rob McElhenney, he runs EFL Championship club Wrexham, and according to British media, they have approached Christian Eriksen.
The 33-year-old former Manchester United midfielder is a free agent after his contract with the Red Devils expired at the end of the 2024-25 season.
Following three successive promotions, Wrexham are about to return to the second tier of English football for the first time in 44 years, ever since 1981-82.
Eriksen's agent Martin Schoots told the Daily Mail that Wrexham was a "hugely impressive project", but also added: "Christian still wants to play in a first-tier competition and he absolutely wants to stay in Western Europe."
Eriksen made 35 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United last season, scoring five goals. He began his professional career with Ajax and spent seven seasons with Tottenham Hotspur before joining Brentford in 2022 following one campaign at Inter Milan.
Think what you want of Wrexham but this is pure class. The owners have a stand purely for children with disabilities and Ryan Reynolds takes the time to go over before the biggest game of the clubs history.
