Oumar Niasse signed for Huddersfield Town
Almost nine months after terminating his contract with Everton, Oumar Niasse has found a new engagement. The Senegalese striker will play for a Championship side Huddersfield until the end of the season.
Niasse arrived in Everton in the 2016 after an excellent half-season at Russian Lokomotiva Moscow, in which he scored 12 and assisted ten goals in 21 games, in the Russian league and in the Europa League combined. The club from Liverpool paid him 21 million USD (2 billion KSH) hoping that they would bring Niasse's good games from Russia to the UK.

However, Niasse failed to reach the starting striker position next to Romelu Lukaku. In the first half of the season, there was no real contribution on seven appearances - in the second half he mainly played for the second team of Everton, which is why he was loaned to Hull City.
In 2017/18 season, after the dismissal of Ronald Koeman, Niasse got a chance to work with with Sam Allardyce and managed to heighten his form with 8 goals and three assists. However, at the end of the season, Big Sam left the club and Niasse fell into the background again.
A new loan followed, this time to Cardiff, and then another failed season at Goodison Park, after which Everton decided to part ways with the 30-year-old striker.
Since July last year, Niasse has been waiting for a new engagement and today he finally got one. It may not be what he hoped for, but it should be taken into account that he did not play for almost nine months.
The season in the Championship lasts for another two months, which will be enough for him to try to get back in shape and convince Huddersfield to extend his contract - or start looking for a new club.
