Asike joined Swedish third-tier side IF Karlstad in April on a short-term deal that is now set to be extended
Harambee Stars defender Eugene Asike is set to extend his stay at Swedish third-tier side IF Karlstad, media outlet Folkblad.

Asike had injury issues after joining the club and therefore missed several matches. He however shook off that and featured in five games, impressing enough to impress the club supremos to start negotiations to extend his deal to the end of the season.
IF Karlstand is currently sixth on the third-tier log with 23 points from 15 matches and will face 10th-placed Motala in its next match set for Saturday 6th August evening.
