Ouma was involved in two goals for AIK last weekend, scoring one and assisting the other as they were held to a two-all draw by Brommapojkarna
Kenyan international Erick 'Marcelo' Ouma watched proceedings from the bench as AIK beat third-tier side Dalkurd 3-0 to advance to the group stage of the Svenska Cup.
After a brilliant display last weekend, where he was involved in both goals as AIK drew 2-2 with Brommapojkarna, scoring one and assisting the other, Ouma was dropped to the bench for the relatively easier match for AIK.
Coach Henning Berg opted to give game time to those who have not been regulars in his team in the league, of course with the exception of a few.
Dalkurd held on to their own in the first half, managing to see the game head into the break tied at 0-0.
However, substitute Ioannis Pittas who came on for John Guidetti just past midway through the first half broke the deadlock six minutes into the second half with Taha Ayari doubling the advantage five minutes later.
With 14 minutes left to play, with defender Rui Modesto scored the third to put the game to bed and completely out of reach for Dalkurd.
While AIK received a bye to the second round, Dalkurd had edged out fourth-tier side Huddinge 2-1.
Action in the second round continues next week on Tuesday and Wednesday and another Kenyan in Timothy Ouma could be in action when Elfsborg takes on Lund.
