The Toffees are allegedly keen on the Arsenal striker, who is slowly but surely recovering from a horrendous ACL tear

Jesus, this would be an intriguing transfer!

As sources from England claim, Everton are keen on Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus and are considering making a move in the upcoming January Transfer Window. Even though the Brazilian is still sidelined after a terrible ACL tear, the Toffees believe he'd be a significant asset for David Moyes' crew.

And they indeed need some reinforcements in the attack. Namely, the Liverpool side scored nine goals in the Premier League so far, and only one came from a striker - Beto. His understudy, Thierno Barry, has yet to find the net.

Moreover, the duo of centre-forwards clocked 634 minutes in the EPL this season, and only a single goal on their tally is quite disappointing.

Hence, Moyes' team needs a proven goalscorer to improve its efficiency, and the 28-year-old apparently looks like a decent option.

Truth be told, Jesus' prime years are far behind him, especially since he hasn't played since January 12. If he joins Everton, he won't have played a game for almost a year, but the Toffees are willing to gamble.

Still, it will cost them, as the Gunners are reportedly aiming for compensation in the £30 million range. Although they brought the Brazilian for £15 million more from Man City three years ago, he's not the same player he was in 2022.

Frequent injuries took their toll, so an eventual spell at Hill Dickinson Stadium could be Jesus' last chance to revive his EPL career.

Even if he doesn't end up at Everton, he'll most likely leave North London, as he has no place in Mikel Arteta's revamped team next to Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz, and Co.

During his spell at Emirates Stadium, Jesus recorded 26 goals and 20 assists in 96 appearances. Last season, he played 27 games and scored netted seven times in all competitions, before the severe injury took him out of action.

So, his eventual move to the club from Liverpool could be a "win-win-win" situation for all three sides, but it's still too early to tell whether the transfer will go through.
