After Foden's temporary department, the Three Lions almost lost Anthony Gordon in a bizarre way
England can't catch a break! It's like lousy form prior to EURO 2024, poor performance in the tournament, only one win in the group stage, only two goals scored, and angry fans who threw cups on Gareth Southgate were not enough. They also could've lost a player and all that because of a bizarre bike accident?!

In today's training session, everything seemed normal, except for Phil Foden's absence, until Anthony Gordon showed up with a cut on his chin and scratches on his nose and hand. And while Foden had the most beautiful reason to leave, Gordon was not so lucky. Namely, the Newcastle winger reportedly fell off the bike while riding around England's training base in Blankenhein. The fall was obviously troublesome since Gordon injured his head and was lucky he didn't suffer a more severe injury.

Truth be said, the 23-year-old only had a little of a role in the European Championship since he entered the game from the bench only against Slovenia in the 89th minute and played six minutes in total, including the five-minute added time. Given that the Three Lions haven't lived up to expectations so far in the tournament, Southgate is under a lot of pressure at the moment.
