With Andy Robertson set to leave and Mohamed Salah already heading for the exit, Liverpool braces for lots of changes
Andy Robertson will bring the curtain down on a remarkable chapter at Liverpool, with the club confirming the Scottish left-back will depart at the end of the 2025-26 season when his contract expires.
After nine years at Anfield, the 32-year-old leaves behind a legacy few full-backs in modern football can match. Signed from Hull City AFC in 2017, Robertson went on to make 373 appearances, becoming a cornerstone of one of Liverpool's most successful eras.

During his time on Merseyside, he helped deliver two Premier League titles and a Champions League crown, alongside a host of other silverware - from domestic cups to global honors - cementing his place in the club's modern greats.
"Now is the time for me to move on," Robertson said. "I'll always look back on amazing memories. I've put my heart and soul into this club for nine years and I've not got many regrets."
His departure signals more than just the exit of a fan favourite. With Mohamed Salah also set to leave, Liverpool are entering a period of significant transition.
Robertson's role had already begun to diminish this season following the arrival of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, with the Scot starting just six Premier League matches despite making 31 appearances in all competitions.

Still, his influence remains undeniable: 13 goals, 69 assists, relentless energy, and leadership that extended beyond club level. He captained Scotland back to the World Cup for the first time since 1998.
Interest from clubs like Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur has followed him in recent windows, and while his next destination remains unknown, one thing is certain - Robertson leaves Anfield as a modern legend, with boots that won't be easily filled.
