The second edition of the tournament is scheduled to run from 7-10 August 2023
Kenya Police FC will be bidding to defend their title starting next week when the second edition of the Elite preseason cup kicks off on Monday 7 August at the M-Pesa Foundation Academy in Thika.
According to the fixtures released, seven other teams will join the Francis Baraza coached side in using the four-day tournament to test and prepare themselves for the new 2023/24 Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign that is set to get underway on 26 August.

Group A will Sofapaka and Kariobangi Sharks make their second appearances in the competition as National Super League side Kajiado FC and Posta Rangers make their debuts in the tourney, taking the place of Ulinzi Stars and MCF.
Group B will see Bidco United, Nairobi City Stars, Kenya Police and Rainbow all returning as they square off against each other with matches set to be played on a demanding daily basis.
After the group stage matches are played on a round robin format, the respective winners from Group A and Group B will contest for the cup.
In the inaugural edition held in 2022, Police, who were under the stewardship of Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo, beat Nairobi City Stars 2-0 in the final of the warm-up tournament played at the Nyayo Stadium to lift the trophy that had Ksh 1 million prize money with David Simiyu and Marvin Nabwire scoring the two goals in that match back then.
